About bini cocotte

Why bini cocotte?
“bini,” means “two together,"“pair” and/or “duo” in the Latin word.
"Cocotte" is from the name of the vocalist, Coco, and a French cooking pan, Cocotte.
We learned sometimes musicians say about good playing like "good cooking,"
so we put our heart that we whould like you to enjoy our cooking (playing.)
There is why we named ourselves, bini cocotte.
We are very happy if you like it.
Thank you.

About bini cocotte
留学中、共演をしたことをきっかけに知り合う。
音楽的好みが一致することもあり、帰国後も共に演奏を重ね、
2014年1月、ユニットを結成。bini cocotteとして活動を始動させる。

We met at one of Latin Jazz Band when we are in Berklee College of Music as a student.
We sometimes play together just for practicing after coming back to Japan
and one day we got a chance to have a gig, then, more chances coming to us little by little after that until now.
Well, “more chances” that I wrote is quite little
but that is anyway great happenings for us who have passive and inactive character.
The best way for modest and reserved musician, I guess, to transmit our music to the world
is by making our HP, to make good use of internet distribution such as YouTube, SNS and Blog.
“What??? From Now?? You guys are way behind from others!!”
Yes, I know what you are saying….You are totally right….
But for us, even thiough these things, that everyone already did, were verey challenging.
At such time, we met an angel. She alweys give advice us to find the best way we can do.
She introduced us a person who makes this HP. She guides us the person who is helping us to have a gig
and recordings for delivery our music data through the communication network.
Bini Cocotte is finally born and reach here to information transmission via the homepage.
Well, please go easy on us.

My first encounter with Western Music was an English Class when I was a junior high student.I heard Beatles,"Strawberry Fields Forever," and fell in love with the sound.Since that point, I listened to many kinds of UK rock which my friends and their brother introduced me.Then finaly I met "Fairground Attraction" when I was 14 or 15 years old and my heart was full of them.I tried to know them more and more so took the liner notes, that was on the CD jakect, in my hands. The words told me the back ground of thier music such as that has a influence of Country music and Jazz.I could somehow understand how the Country music sounds like but no idea about the Jazz at all. Then I decided to try listening the sound called "Jazz." I learned about a great pianist, Bill Evens, from a music magazine and got one of his CD at the store.(Actually, It was soooo- hard to decide which CD I should get because there were too many his CDs at the store. You know how I chose? I chose the CD which had a most beautiful jacket I thought.)Since I listened to it, my heart said to me,"This is it, Coco. This is all you need to survive in your life." After that, my life was totally changed. Ask my piano teacher about the music college that I can learn Jazz and also take bachelor's degree but he said there is no music college which grant both in Japan now so you better fly to the US.Life is not easy going. Of course my parents did not understand what I am talking about. "Who want to study music at the US? You? Do you speak English? Do you know the way how to enter the school at the other country? No, you can do nothing for it by yourself, right?"Yes, that is sadly right.I went to the high school in Japan and earned money for my dream to study Jazz at the US and study English hard for three years. My high school life past away for preparering just like that. Then I did! I got everything I need to go studying at the community college in CA like a student visa, passport, air ticket, and money to spend for two years there. My parents accepted me after two years I spent at the Community collage and supported me transfering to the Berklee College of Music in Boston.I often see somebody's profile to said,"He achieved the highest rank in School." but for me, "I barely, hardly,at long last graduated Berklee." To be honest, I changed my major from Jazz Compositon to Performance as a vocalist after spending the first year at Berklee just because Composition major was too hard for my brain and singing seemed the only way to be able to graduate.Well, I should say that I really enjoyed singing Jazz not only for the graduation. That is why I keep singing now on!
